This week is all about feeling empowered each step is designed to strengthen your connection to your body, build internal clarity, and support a more empowered state of mind.
How This Works
We use 360 Breathing to encourage a full breath and oxygen distribution all through the torso. We get to feel the fullness of an even inflation on rib cage expansion.
Bellows Breath helps to strengthen the abdomen, drain excess mucus from the lungs, and energise both the body and mind.
Circular Nostril Breathing encourages the flow of breath through the respiratory system creating heat and energy within the body. Strengthens energy, willpower and enthusiasm.
Body Scan Ascending unlike a descending scan, which is often used to wind down, an ascending scan can increase alertness and help you feel more awake and connected without tipping into stress. By moving your attention slowly and intentionally up through the body, you also strengthen the mind-body connection and create a buffer between you and external noise. It’s a subtle but effective way to reset your state from the inside out.

360 Breathing
This circumferential technique is a focused variation of belly/chest breathing that emphasises full torso breath capacity.
Place one hand on the belly and one hand on the chest
Breathe slowly and fully into both belly and chest equally, feeling both hands rise and expand
Focus on expanding evening in a 360 degree direction
Exhale slowly
Repeat x 15

Bellows Breath
A breathing technique in which both the inhalation and exhalation come from active contractions of the abdominals and diaphragm.
Take a long breath in and out through the nose
Take another long breath in and exhale by quickly contracting the abdominal muscles
Follow this with a quick diaphragmatic inhale so that the breath moves into and out of the lungs in quick succession

Circular Nostril Breathing
Breathing practice in which we inhale only through the right nostril and exhale through the left.
Lift your right hand to the nose. Use your ring finger to close off your left nostril and breath in through your right nostril.
Close the right nostril with your thumb, releasing left nostril and exhale through the left nostril
Continue in this way, inhaling through the right nostril and exhaling through the left.
Repeat x 10
